Acting Governor Reviews Rorotan RDF Plant Construction

Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi reviewed the construction of Rorotan Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), Cilincing, North Jakarta, Wednesday (1/15).

Teguh admitted that he was grateful to directly review the construction process.
"Rorotan RDF construction is meaningful for Jakarta Provincial Government and Jakarta residents. This is a part of large waste management in Jakarta by reaching 7,500 to 7,800 ton per day," Teguh said, Wednesday (1/15).
Minister Hanif Appreciates Waste Management Technology at Bantargebang TPSTTeguh added that Rorotan RDF Plant is able to handle waste around 2,500 ton that will be managed into RDF by 875 ton everyday. RDF will be functioned as fuel energy for cement factories.
"There are factories ready to use it. The residue can also be used for various purposes. Actually, water and other materials are also included in the 2,500 ton of gross weight. It means the residue could be in form of tin and wood chip. It's small," he added.
Based on the contract, Teguh hopes, the construction one of the biggest waste processing projects in the world to complete on February 15, 2025.
"We'll report to central government to be nationally inaugurated," he stated.
As for information, Rorotan RDF Plant groundbreaking was started on May 13, 2024. The site is constructed on Jakarta Provincial Government land by 7.87 hectare in Rorotan Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta.
